In our catalog you can find a selection of high quality handmade Japanese swords.
All our swords are fully functional, this means they are real weapons which have to be treated with care.
We don't sell what we did not test ourselves. So we tested our swords on different types of material like: fresh wood, dried wood and tatami omate mats, just to see how much the sword can handle. Thats why we can guarantee you that you
won't have problems when practicing with your sword.
We can also offer you our service to repair the wrappings (ito) of the hilt of your sword, incase it has come loose somehow. For more information about this you can contact as at:info@katanako.com.
You can choose from: 1050, or 1095 damascus steel (folded steel), springsteel, T10 tool steel, and insert steel.

We don't sell stainless steel (420, 440) because this metal isn't really suited for cutting. The blade of such a sword can shatter when applying too much force, thus endangering the swordcarrier.
